Description

A security filter is a precision filtration device that typically uses pleated filter elements made of materials such as polypropylene, nylon, or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) as the filtration medium. Its working principle relies on the microporous structure of the filter element to deeply intercept impurities in fluids (mainly liquids): when raw water or media flows through the filter element, tiny particles, colloids, microorganisms, and other impurities in the water are trapped by the micropores of the filter element, while clean fluid passes through the pores of the filter element, thereby purifying the water quality and protecting subsequent precision equipment (such as reverse osmosis membranes, ultrafiltration membranes, metering pumps, etc.).

The filtration accuracy of the filter element is usually 1–5 microns, and different pore sizes can be selected according to requirements. The filter element is a disposable consumable and needs to be replaced regularly to ensure filtration efficiency.
